I have always been interested in exploring different ways of working. From landscape to portrait, using a variety of methods, my temperament lies within the realm of representation. My figures are drawn with precise observation and acute awareness to light. The straight forward and honest approach allows me to see the individual as a unique and challenging subject matter. With nature, my appropriation of reality is imbued with a great subtlety and minimalist quality. In stripping away the fingerprints of humanity, I hope to better reveal the emotional and spiritual sense of place and capture the transient quality of the land and sea.
